Sweet and Short Reviews: Big Time Adolescence

Welcome to my Sweet and Short Reviews blog! This blog is all about reviewing my favorite movies, music, and whatever really. While keeping the reviews sweet and short. We all got things we need to do, right? I most definitely appreciate you reading this blog and I hope you enjoy the review.

When Mo (Griffin Gluck) was just ten years old, he befriends his older sister’s boyfriend Zeke (Pete Davidson). When Zeke and Mo’s sister break up, Mo still wants to be friends with Zeke. Zeke being the easy going guy he is, accepts. Fast forward like six years and Mo and Zeke are still kicking it. Mo finds it hard to find friends his own age, and looks up to Zeke like a cool older brother. With no evil intent inside Zeke, he is indeed not a great influence on Mo. Together they get into some trouble for sure.

The best part of this movie for me is Pete Davidson. He really makes the movie hilarious. Mo and the rest of the supporting cast, including MGK (Colson Baker) are fine, but Pete makes the movie. Writer and director Jason Orley’s first movie was very entertaining. I really like how this film makes you feel a blend of different emotions. This movie might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I feel like it will hit home for a lot of people.

Big Time Adolescents is definitely a solid movie in my book. Go check it out on Hulu. If you enjoy sci-fi and fantasy stories check out my website tfam13.com. Watch out for more of my Sweet and Short reviews. I hope you enjoy the movie and the blog! Peace🤙

Sweet and Short Reviews: The Boys Season 1

Welcome to my Sweet and Short Reviews blog! This blog is all about reviewing my favorite movies, music, and whatever really. While keeping the reviews sweet and short. We all got things we need to do, right? I most definitely appreciate you reading this blog and I hope you enjoy the review.

Superheros have been in the driver seat when it comes to recent pop culture. While superhero movies and TV are entertaining, they also are very repetitive. This is why I definitely recommend giving The Boys a watch on Amazon Prime. If you are into extremely bloody shows, this is the show for you.

This project was taken on by Seth Rogan, Eric Kripke, and Evan Goldberg from the creators of The Boys, Darick Robertson and Garth Ennis. The Boys is basically if there were actual superheroes in today’s world. The supes in this show are driven by greed and corruption. This is why The Boys is such a refreshing watch compared to their superhero counterparts.

The Boys is about Hughie Cambell (Jack Quaid), who’s girlfriend is gruesomely murdered by the speedy supe known as A-Train (Jessie T. Usher). After this incident, Hughie joins a group of rough misfits. Each member of “The Boys” has their own personal reasons for wanting the supes dead. The leader of this group is Billy Butcher (Karl Urban). Billy truly steals the show in my humble opinion. Homelander (Antony Starr) is the leader of The Seven, which is a group of the world’s greatest superheroes. Starr’s acting will give you the chills. The writing of this show is too notch, and the ending of season one is spectacular.

The Boy’s is most definitely a must watch in my book. If you enjoy sci-fi and fantasy stories check out my website tfam13.com. Watch out for more of my Sweet and Short reviews. I hope you enjoy the movie and the blog! Peace🤙

Sweet and Short Stories: Everything You Need to Know About Loki the Series

Marvel has 4 new shows coming to Disney Plus in the near future. These shows include The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, and Hawkeye. Out of all of these new Marvel shows coming out, I’m most excited for Loki. Since the beginning of the MCU, Loki has been one of my all time favorite characters, villain or hero.

So when is this series going to hit Disney Plus you ask? Great question. Loki is set to premier in early 2021. It will be the 3rd Marvel series set to reach Disney Plus out of the 4 upcoming series. It has been said that Loki will come out right before Thor 4 Love and Thunder. The series should tie right into the movie.

Loki will start his adventures after escaping with the Tesseract, after the events of Avengers Endgame. With the Tesseract, Loki will attempt to change important events throughout human history.

Also, in this series you should see more of Loki’s shape shifting abilities. It is rumored that Loki will shape shift into his child form in the new series. Also, it is rumored Loki will become stuck in this child state in Thor 4. Many people are speculating that this is how they might replace Tom Hiddleston as Loki.

Personally, I can’t imagine anyone else playing Loki since Hiddleston has been around since the beginning of the MCU. However, this is just a rumor so who knows what will really happen.

Sweet and Short Reviews: Music to Be Murdered By

Welcome to my Sweet and Short Reviews blog! This blog is all about reviewing my favorite movies, music, and whatever really. While keeping the reviews sweet and short. We all got things we need to do, right? I most definitely appreciate you reading this blog and I hope you enjoy.

I’m going to make this review very short and sweet.   If you really listen to the word play on Music to Be Murdered By, then it’s pretty evident how good Eminem is. This is a great title to the album because Eminem truly kills it. Music to Be Murdered By is a 10 out of 10 if you ask me.

I’ve been a hip hop fan all my life and have listened to it all. From a pure rapping standpoint this is as good as it gets. Also, from a production standpoint the beats are dope. I haven’t heard beats this good on a Eminem album for awhile. Eminem albums are always in the news for the outrageous things he says on his albums, rather than being talked about simply because of his amazing skill of his rapping ability. Take away all that other noise and you got an instant classic album.

Music to be Murdered by is definitely a must listen in my book. If you enjoy sci-fi and fantasy stories check out my website tfam13.com. Watch out for more of my Sweet and Short reviews. I hope you enjoy the movie and the blog! Peace🤙

Sweet and Short Reviews: The Last Kingdom

Welcome to my review blog! This blog is all about reviewing my favorite movies, music, and whatever really. While keeping the reviews sweet and short. We all got things we need to do, right? I most definitely appreciate you reading this blog and hope you enjoy.

The last Kingdom is definitely a must watch if you are into bloody fighting action, that is well written and has great acting. Even if you are not into bloody shows, the storyline will draw you in. Let me say this, if you like the show Vikings, you will definitely be into The Last Kingdom. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

This show is about Uhtred son of Uhtred. Uhtred’s journey begins as a young boy, when Vikings invade England and kill his father, who is a nobleman. Uhtred is spared by the Danes and raised by them. Years later,  Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon) is grown and is never truly accepted by neither the Danes or the Saxons. The main goal of Uhtred is to claim his birthright, but at the same time is having an internal battle of loyalty that takes a toll on him.

This is definitely a show that will have you binge watching it after a couple episodes. The Last Kingdom is a must watch in my book. Sweet and Short Reviews: Onward

Welcome to my review blog! This blog is all about reviewing my favorite movies, music, and whatever really. While keeping the reviews sweet and short. We all got things we need to do, right? I most definitely appreciate you reading this blog and hope you enjoy.

Me having a 4 year old daughter has made me get pumped for kids movies that will actually be entertaining for me as well. Onward was one of those movies. My daughter Eppy and I have been waiting forever to see the latest Disney Pixar film. Today we finally had a chance to go see it.

It was better than I thought it would be going in. Which is saying a lot, because I thought it was going to be awesome in the first place. The first five to tenish minutes were a bit slow which got me a little nervous. Then it picked up and never slowed down.

This tale is about two brothers who lost their father when they were very young. Only Barley (Chris Pratt), the eldest brother, has any memories of their father at all. On Ian’s (Tom Holland) sixteenth birthday, he receives a wizard staff and a phoenix gem from his late father. With these new gifts, Ian conjures a spell that goes wrong. Ian brings his father back, but only the lower half of him. Barley and Ian have only twenty four hours to find another phoenix gem and try to bring the top half of their father’s body back before it is to late. The adventures along the way are hilarious and brilliant. No spoilers, but the ending almost made me shed a tear.

If you are looking for a good movie for the family, or for any occasion actually, Onward is a great pick. By far one of my favorites movies. Sweet and Short Reviews: Knives Out

Welcome to my review blog! This blog is all about reviewing my favorite movies, music, and whatever really. While keeping the reviews sweet and short. We all got things we need to do, right? I most definitely appreciate you reading this blog and hope you enjoy 🤙

Written and directed by Rian Johnson, Knives out is a fun murder mystery involving a crazy family, and a dead owner of a murderer mystery novelist fortune, where everyone is a suspect. I love a good clue boardgame mystery.

There are so many great things about Knives out. One of the best things about this movie is the star studded cast. The acting is simply supreme. Knives out is definitely different from the movies coming out these days, and I love that about this movie. The writing and storyline is very well done. Guessing who the killer is the whole movie is part of the fun. I really appreciate the comedy relief throughout the movie as well. This movie keeps your eyes glued to the screen from start to finish.

If you are looking for a good movie for family, friends, date night, Knives Out is a great pick. If you enjoy sci-fi and fantasy stories check out my website tfam13.Watch out for more of my sweet and short reviews. I hope you enjoy the movie and the blog! Peace🤙
